Fernando Alonso drove a revised F10 at Fiorano on Friday as Ferrari took full advantage of the rule which allows teams to carry out "promotional activity" on track.
In addition to taking part in "on-track activities" with a group of Ferrari owners, who got to drive around the Fiorano track with the two-time world champion, Alonso also did a few laps of the track at the wheel of the F10 for "promotional purposes".
Ostensibly, Ferrari was filming the Spaniard for its website, however, a sharp-eyed fan who filmed the 'test' - Alonso's debut run in an F1 car at Fiorano - posted his film on YouTube whereby it is clear that the team was running a heavily modified rear end on the car.
Referring to the fact that it appeared to be fully exploiting the rules, using a promotional day for a few laps of testing, the Italian outfit said: "You have to make the most of any opportunity in this era of the testing ban!
