Red Bull has revealed that after discovering a "defect" in the chassis of Sebastian Vettel's Monaco car, the team will switch chassis ahead of next week's Turkish Grand Prix.
The German finished a strong second in the Principality on a weekend when he was overshadowed by his Australian teammate.
However, speaking to Reuters, team boss Christian Horner has revealed than on returning to the team's Milton Keynes HQ a defect was discovered.
"We found the chassis had a minor defect," he told the news agency. "It looks as if it is an issue that deteriorated during the race in Monaco."
The discovery would appear to back up comments made by the young German during Sunday's race when he complained about the car's handling.
