It's already time to get back on track for the GP2 Main Series. From Barcelona, where the first event was held just one week ago, men and cars didn't come back to the factory in Italy but went directly from Spain to Monte Carlo, for the most prestigious and awaited race of the season.
For Scuderia Coloni it will be a very special event because for one of its two drivers, Monaco is like an home race. Alberto Valerio (right) lives in Monte Carlo from a long time and as GP2 never raced in his real homeland, Brazil, racing in the Principality streets is something very unique and exciting for him.
Also for Vladimir Arabadzhiev the coming weekend will be a different one. The Bulgarian racer will be making his debut in debut in Monte Carlo, a moment that is very special to every racing driver, not only for the event's legendary ambiance but also for the peculiar set of new challenges connected to the track.
Paolo Coloni: Monaco is a very special event. If every circuit is different from the others, Monte Carlo is even more different, because there's nothing in the world that comes close to it, and that's why it's so fascinating. For Alberto this race will mean a lot because he lives in Monaco, and he really wants to perform well there. We hope that this can be a further boost for him, another reason to push as much as possible and we also hope that racing at home will bring him a bit of luck! On the other side, Vladimir will face the same odds that every driver has to face when he races in Monaco for the first time: a bit of emotion, and the need to learn all the tricks required to be fast on such a track. What we expect from him is just to be calm and focused, we are sure that he will cope well with everything.
