Halfway through the first day of testing at Jerez de la Frontera, Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg leads the way, as the predicted rain falls, thereby compromising the teams' programmes.
2009 runners-up Red Bull didn't have the best of starts to their 2010 build-up when Mark Webber stopped his RB6 - unveiled just a couple of hours earlier - out on the track with a mechanical problem.
Nico Hulkenberg has completed the most laps so far (60) while Jenson button is currently sixth, the McLaren MP4-25 sporting some rather ugly devices on its sidepods aimed at analysing airflow.
While the crowd isn't as big as that seen at Valencia, there are thousands here to cheer on Fernando Alonso who is on duty for Ferrari, with fellow local heroes Pedro de la Rosa and Jaime Alguersuari due to run later in the week.
The Virgin car has completed one installation lap with Timo Glock (above) at the wheel but thus far - no doubt with an eye on the weather - the team shows no sign of going for a time.
