Felipe Massa will be back behind the steering wheel in November when he contests the International Challenge of the Stars kart event in Florianopolis.
The annual event, the brainchild of the Ferrari star who is the promoter, sees stars from various motorsport disciplines, including F1, Indy Racing and NASCAR, go head-to-head in order to raise money for charity. Massa won the inaugural event in 2006 with Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello winning in 2007 and 2008.
Other than raising funds for worthwhile causes, this year's event will also allow Massa to make a low-key return to racing just four months after his career threatening crash during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Announcing this year's event, to be run on the last weekend of November, the Brazilian said: "It's an incredible party, we get the best drivers together from all categories in the world".
