A Trident Racing mechanic is in an induced coma following a freak accident before the start of today's race.
Vasco Rossi was airlifted to hospital after being injured when Ricardo Teixeira's car snagged a cable as the Portuguese youngster drove down the pitlane and the cable caught a wheel gun which hit Rossi on the head.
While a GP2 spokesperson said that initial tests on Rossi had come back negative, they confirmed that the Italian would be kept in an artificial come for the next few days.
