Felipe Massa has left the Sao Paulo hospital where he underwent a series of medical tests on his arrival from Hungary.
According to his personal physician, Dino Altman, the Ferrari star, who fractured his skull in an accident during qualifying at the Hungaroring, will not require any further surgery.
"We did new blood exams, repeated brain tomography, brain resonance, he's undergone an ophthalmic exam, and the conclusion is that Felipe has no need of a new surgery right now," Altman told reporters. "The only recommendation for him is for rest at home."
On leaving the hospital, Massa headed to his house where his recovery will continue.
