While we await the latest official news form Ferrari regarding Felipe Massa's condition, a Hungarian government spokesman claims the Brazilian driver is improving.
Amidst continued varying claims - some of them clearly sensational - Reuters reports that a spokesman for the Hungarian Defence Ministry, Istvan Bocskai, insists Massa's condition is improving.
He's woken up from sedation more and more often now and he's able to communicate actively," he is understood to have told a Hungarian TV station, "that is, he reacts when he's talked to.
"We are optimistic," he added, "in our hope a slow recovery is beginning.
Yesterday, Felipe was joined by members of his family, including his wife, who is expecting the couple's first child. Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo is also expected to visit the Brazilian later today.
