The unmistakable Russian landmarks of St Basil's Cathedral, Red Square and the Kremlin are hardly the sort of locations where you'd expect to see a Formula 1 car – but a unique demonstration not only brings grand prix power to Moscow but will also witness a star-turn from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen.
Joining cars and drivers from both Williams and Red Bull Racing, the Finn will be demonstrating a world championship-winning MP4-23 around the perimeter of the Kremlin during a massive Formula 1 demonstration in front of thousands of fans in the Russian capital on Sunday July 19.
"I'm really looking forward to the demonstration in Russia," said Heikki. "Moscow is one of the world's most magnificent cities and this opportunity to showcase Formula 1 machinery to so many people, and in such an amazing place, is an incredible opportunity. For everybody who attends, this should be an absolutely amazing demonstration of the worldwide appeal of Formula 1 to a country that is looking forward to hosting its first Formula 1 grand prix in the near future."
