Other than the 3 points Kimi Raikkonen picked up in Bahrain, Ferrari has something else to celebrate, the fact that it appears to be the only car manufacturer in the world currently making a profit.
According to the Fiat Group's first quarter results for 2009, Ferrari was the most profitable of all of the Italian giant's companies.
Flying in the face of the global financial crisis, which has hit car manufacturers particularly hard, the Maranello company ended the first quarter with a trading profit of £48.5m (54m euros), which is not only the highest recorded profit of any of the Fiat Group's companies but makes it one of the only profitable car manufacturers in the entire industry.
With sales of the Ferrari California going particularly well, the GT Evoluzione Package for the 599 GTB Fiorano and the 599XX prototype are also attracting the attention of those people still lucky enough to have some disposable dosh.
