Williams has withdrawn its protest against Ferrari and Red Bull.
The Grove outfit had protested the Ferrari F60 and Red Bull RB5 claiming a technical infringement thought to relate to the area surrounding the front edge of the sidepods on both cars.
While many might think the move a tit-for-tat action following Ferrari and Red Bull's decision to protest the legality of the diffuser on the Williams, and their subsequent decision to appeal the Race Stewards decision that the diffuser complied with the rules, the Grove outfit claims its own protest was genuine.
However, after hours of deliberations leaving the final qualifying results up in the air, and fears that Ferrari and Red Bull might have to race under appeal, the Grove outfit inexplicably withdrew its protest.
