While some are already salivating at the thought of Danica Patrick lining up on the grid in 2010 as part of the all-American USF1 team, the Indy Car driver has admitted to being unaware of the project far less proposing to switch to F1.
When asked about the widespread media reports, Patrick, who was appearing at a car show in Toronto, said: "There weren't any quotes from me, because they haven't spoken to me.
"It's very flattering," she admitted. "I think that any time you are mentioned in the same sentence as Formula One, it's a flattering thing.
"I haven't really expressed a lot of excitement and interest in world travel," she added. "We'll see what they have to say, though. Maybe they'll call."
The USF1 team is scheduled to confirm its plans on February 24.
