BMW has revealed that its 2009 contender will roll out on 20 January 2009 in Valencia.
Since entering F1 in its own right in 2006, having bought the Sauber team, following a six-year relationship with Williams, BMW has made year-on-year improvements, finishing fifth in the 2006 Constructors' Championship and third the following season.
Under the guidance of BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, the Munich based outfit has set itself clear goals each season, and, in 2008, having taken its first win, has achieved them. Having achieved a convincing third in the 2008 Constructors' Championship, and Robert Kubica challenging for the drivers' title up until the following race, the German team is aiming to take on McLaren and Ferrari head-on next season.
Toyota has already announced that it will launch its 2009 contender on January 16, most probably at its Cologne headquarters.
