We hear that Honda is due to make an announcement about its plans for 2009 this weekend, and that veteran Rubens Barrichello is not part of them.
A number of drivers have been linked with the Brackley outfit, most notably Fernando Alonso, however, few within the paddock believe the two-time World Champion would join the team no matter how much they are offering.
Consequently, some believe that Bruno Senna could be joining Jenson Button next season, even though the Brazilian youngster failed to make his mark in GP2 this year.
While Barrichello, who became the most experienced driver in the history of Formula One this year, is clearly nearing the end of his career, he has provided 11 of the Brackley team's 15 points this season, giving the Japanese outfit a podium result at Silverstone.
