After fears raised by the Grand Prix Drivers' Association the organisers of the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix have announced a revised timetable.
While the race was always scheduled to take place at night, the practice sessions and qualifying were due to take place slightly earlier. This difference in time, and the corresponding difference in the lighting led to fears regarding safety.
Now, just three weeks before the event, the organisers have revealed that the Friday practice sessions will take place at 19.00 and 21.30, while the Saturday session will also get underway at 19.00
Qualifying will begin at 22.00 on Saturday, with the Grand Prix getting underway at 20.00 on Sunday.
