Renault has issued a statement following the death of a member of its team in what appears to have been a suicide.
Research and Development worker Bill Millar was found at the French team's Enstone HQ on Wednesday morning after a shot was heard by colleagues.
According to the police, who are not treating the death as suspicious, no-one else is being sought over the 53-year-old's death.
Renault's statement reads:
"Everyone at the team is deeply shocked to lose such a valued member of staff who had been with the team for 27 years.
"Before the team was taken over by Renault, he worked for Benetton Formula One. We have a very large site but it happened within the premises on a footpath.
"Known as Bill, he was involved in designing anything that can improve the car."
Pitpass offers its sincere condolences to Mr Millar's family and the entire Renault F1 Team.
