Following a disastrous final free practice session, which saw both drivers eliminated after clashing with the notorious Montreal walls, Toro Rosso has suffered a further major set-back.
Sebastien Bourdais, who clouted the wall in the final couple of minutes, just after the end of the red flag period brought about by his German teammate, will need to change the gearbox in his car, resulting in a five-place penalty.
However, the news for Vettel is even worse. Following his much heavier crash, which saw the German effectively destroy the right-hand side of his car, the Faenza-based outfit is unable to repair his car in time for the qualifying session, therefore he will play no further part in today's activities.
