With Ferrari boss Luce di Montezemolo insisting that Felipe Massa's future at the team is secure and that it would be "damaging" to partner Fernando Alonso with Kimi Raikkonen, the media continues to speculate over the Spaniard's future, convinced that he is destined to race for the Maranello outfit in 2010 if not 2009.
Therefore, based on the three-into-two won't go principal, sections of the media, fuelled by a comment from Keke Rosberg, have claimed that it is the Finn who will make way for Alonso, with the 2007 World Champion - and possibly 2008 World Champion - heading off into retirement.
Not so, says team boss, Stefano Domenicali: "I have heard this rumour and there is not a grain of truth to it," the Italian told Motorsport Aktuell. "Kimi is motivated from head to toe and I know he is not thinking of retiring."
Raikkonen, meanwhile, has described last weekend's Spanish GP as a "perfect weekend" and the best weekend of his career.
