Following the news that Super Aguri sent one of its transporters off to Barcelona last Friday, it has been confirmed that the entire team is now en route to Spain for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.
Following last week's news that a Dubai-backed deal with the Magma Group, which would have seen the Leafield based team's future secured, had fallen through, there were fears that the popular Japanese outfit might miss this weekend's race.
However, following some behind the scenes string-pulling, most probably involving Bernie Ecclestone, the team appears to have found the funding to contest this weekend's race.
"I have heard that the cars being transported to Spain," team co-owner Fumio Akita told Reuters today. "They're on the way is the latest information I have."
However, though the team's presence in Barcelona appears assured there remains the question of whether the (financial) situation will be resolved in time for Istanbul and beyond.
That said, at least Akita and Aguri Suzuki have a little more breathing space, time in which to complete the Magma deal or seek an alternative buyer.
