Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has spoken out following his team's disappointing performance in Melbourne, warning rivals not to write off the Maranello outfit.
"I have great faith in our team," he told the Skylife website. "They'll know how to learn a lesson from what happened and we'll see the real Ferrari in the next Grand Prix."
di Montezemolo revealed that Jean Todt, who stepped down as the team's CEO on Tuesday, is helping to resolve the problems which saw both Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen eliminated by engine problems.
"We are working day and night because we want to do well on Sunday," he said. "Todt called me and perhaps we know what happened to the two engines".
By having its two cars, neither of which looked likely to score podium finishes, far less a win, stop before the end of the race, Massa and Raikkonen can both start the Malaysia weekend with new powerplants.
