In an interview with Reuters, Williams starlet, Nico Rosberg, has admitted to having misgivings regards the forthcoming night race in Singapore.
"Safety is always a concern for street races," said the German, "and that plus being under the floodlights at night... safety is a bit of a question mark still."
While F1 teams are able to simulate all manner of race conditions, they are unable (currently) to recreate the unique experience of racing through the streets under floodlights at 200 mph.
"I couldn't tell you because I've never driven at night," he admitted. "I've never tested. There are no tracks with lights so you can't really prepare.
"I'm sure the FIA has done their job," he added, "and I think it'll be a great event."
