The 2008 GP2 Asia Series is in Indonesia this weekend for the second Round of the Championship. The twenty-six drivers will fight for the win at the Sentul International Circuit on Saturday and Sunday.

The Sentul International Circuit is located in Citeureup, Bogor. The circuit has been predominantly used for bike racing and the Asian F3 series. Sentul is a wide (15 metres) track with high speeds. The longer corners enable varied racing lines, and the 900m start-finish straight ensures overtaking opportunities into turn one.

In a very hot and humid part of the world, with frequent showers, the drivers will most definitely be pushed to their physical limits.

Karun Chandhok, who raced on this track in 2006, said: "The layout is quite nice and interesting. It is also quite demanding as it is a little bit bumpy. One of the major characteristics is the difference surfaces, which is something different than in Europe. There are some long straights with some nice breakings; however, the track is quite narrow where the breakings are. Therefore, it will be tricky to overtake and the qualifying and the start will be very important. Also, if you go away from the racing line, the track is very dirty and slippery. We will have to be careful. As for the weather conditions: I don't mind if the race is wet as it is the same for everybody. It can be a real lottery, but that's part of racing too! It should be dry tomorrow morning for qualifying. I think we will get a good crowd. People love racing here."
