Fourth team, fourth day, and Andy Zuber is going faster than ever today at Paul Ricard. Today he teams up with Luca Filippi at Super Nova International, and the two out and out fastest men of the past week will go head-to-head to see if either can break the all-time track record.
Zuber went closest this morning, putting in a 1:12.701 - the fastest lap of the test so far. Luca was not far behind him, and eventually ended up on a 1:12.879. The pair however were split by Pastor Maldonado, today making his appearance for his third different team, Minardi Piquet Sports.
In fourth position was Kazuki Nakajima who made his bow for ART Grand Prix today after returning to GP2 Series testing following a well-deserved break in Japan after his F1 debut in Brazil. Adrian Valles was next up for iSport International with Borja Garcia sixth in the second Minardi Piquet Sports.
Top rookie was once again an RDD driver as Romain Grosjean stepped into the Racing Engineering car to beat fellow rookies Yelmer Buurman, Geido van Der Garde and Davide Rigon.
