Race Stewards at Interlagos have announced that neither Williams nor BMW will be punished despite irregularities with their fuel in today's race.
In a statement issued almost seven hours after the race they admitted it would be "inappropriate to impose a penalty" since there was sufficient doubt regarding the fuel temperatures.
Consequently the race result stands and Kimi Raikkonen remains the 2007 Formula One World Champion.
Reports that the Finn could still be punished for excessive smiling on the podium remain unconfirmed.
