Spyker Cars NV, the Dutch sports car manufacturer which own the Spyker F1 team has a statement in which it says that shareholders have approved the sale of the team to a consortium led by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya.
"The exclusive negotiation period with the consortium ends at midnight on Sept. 30 and minor legal conditions linked to this offer remain to be settled," read the statement.
The company revealed that the F1 team would make a loss of 6m euros in the third financial quarter.
Spyker Cars NV bought the team from Alex Shnaider's Midland Group in 2006 for $106.6m.
