Heavy rain for several hours, combined with 95% humidity, has left a heavy mist hanging over parts of the Fuji Speedway.
This means that the medical air ambulance is unable to take off, and therefore the session is delayed.
Originally this was for fifteen minutes, thereby reducing the session to forty-five minutes, but subsequently Race Control announced a further fifteen minute delay.
