A1 Team France took advantage of this occasion to outline its ambitions for the coming A1 GP season in front of an audience of international journalists and people from the world of motorsport and show business.
France won the inaugural A1GP Championship in 2005-2006. Nicolas Lapierre and Alexandre Prémat dominated their rivals winning thirteen of the twenty races thanks to the backing of a team made up of some of the best-known talents in terms of strategy and fine-tuning in motor sport. This result helped French colours to make an impact worldwide.
Last year, Loic Duval and Jean-Karl Vernay joined Nicolas Lapierre in the A1 Team France for a learning season. The French squad was a regular points scorer, and racked up three podium finishes, ending the year in fourth place in the A1 GP Championship.
This year, A1 Team France has renewed its confidence in Loic Duval while preparing for the future with the arrival of Nicolas Prost, who made a big impression in testing on the Silverstone circuit. The team begins the 2007-2008 season fuelled with a burning desire for revenge and a single aim in mind: reconquer the no.1 spot. This ambition is clearly shown by the team's new visual identity.
