A1 Team Great Britain today completed a busy day and a half long testing programme aimed at preparing the team for the opening round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport to be held at Zandvoort, Netherlands, on September 29th -30th . Team drivers Oliver Jarvis and Robbie Kerr shared the driving duties, Jarvis setting the 4th fastest time yesterday afternoon with a lap time of 48.432s and Kerr achieving a time of 48.142 to go 8th fastest this morning.

A1 Team GBR's test began with data collection work for engine supplier Zytek, bedding in brake discs and pads, plus general set-up work. Set-up work continued this morning, although Kerr's quickest runs were ruined by traffic, and the team also completed vital pit stop practice in preparation for the mandatory two pits tops which will be key to this season's A1GP Feature Races. No major problems were encountered, although the car suffered a wishbone failure which cost some time, and overall the team emerged satisfied with its final preparations for next week's event in Holland.

Oliver Jarvis completed a total of 85 laps on Tuesday, with Robbie Kerr driving a further 52 laps this morning.

Oliver Jarvis: "We made good progress yesterday. It wasn't about setting quick lap times but focusing on shaking the car and engine down and getting the jobs done whilst doing as little mileage as possible to save the components for Zandvoort. We're going to Zandvoort in a good position and will hopefully improve our real pace at the first round."

Robbie Kerr: "We're happy with how the day went. There are a few minor issues that we resolved and questions that needed answering which we have now answered. We've been focusing on car set-up and know what we need to make the car go quickly. I'm now just looking forward to the racing starting again!"
