McLaren has appealed the decision by race stewards not to allow it to score constructors' points in tomorrow's Hungarian GP.
The unusual punishment follows the stewards findings that; "the actions of the team in the final minutes of qualifying are considered prejudicial to the interests of the competition and to the interests of motor sport generally".
Consequently, McLaren will race under appeal tomorrow, which means that the race result will remain provisional until a hearing is scheduled by the FIA's International Court of Appeal, which, ironically, is due to meet later this month regarding the ongoing 'spy saga' following FIA President Max Mosley's decision to send the earlier verdict to appeal.
