While eight teams were in action at Jerez today, Ferrari and Toro Rosso continued at Mugello.
Luca Badoer continued for the Maranello outfit, beginning a programme centred on development of new mechanical and aerodynamic components aimed at the next few races.
The Italian completed 82 laps on his way to posting a best time of 1:21.847.
However, attention was focussed on the adjacent garages, where Scott Speed was on duty for Toro Rosso. Just hours after the latest instalment in Tost/Speed saga, the American was in action for the Faenza based outfit, despite reports in some sections of the media that he had already been dropped.
Progress was interrupted by an electrical problem in the morning and a coolant leak in the afternoon. However, despite this, the team managed to complete some set-up work for Hungary as well as work on the braking system with Budapest's hot weather in mind. Some aero work was also on the agenda.
The American stays in the cockpit for tomorrow's final day of the test, which is also the last day before the summer testing ban comes into force.
