Lewis Hamilton has officially been given the all-clear to compete in this afternoon's European GP following his 165 mph crash during qualifying yesterday.
A brief statement issued by McLaren a short while ago read:
"Vodafone McLaren Mercedes are pleased to confirm that Lewis Hamilton has been cleared to race in today's European Grand Prix by the FIA medical delegate Dr Hartstein and chief medical officer of the event, Dr Klaus U Zerbian."
The youngster will start from tenth position on the grid, alongside Ralf Schumacher, and directly behind Jarno Trulli.
