NEWS STORY
Bruno Senna (Arden International) 3rd: I'm happy, it could have been better if we hadn't lost the positions in the pitstop, but that's racing. I did a very good start and then I saw the iSport guys crashing into each other and I thought ‘thanks very much'! I just drove as fast as I could without ruining the tyres, that was the strategy! Car set-up was essential today. Also you had to have a car strong at the beginning of the race. This is a demanding circuit and you have to push and I think it was a decent job to finish third. I start fifth tomorrow and I think it's possible to get another podium.
Luca Filippi (Super Nova International) 4th: Starting from 16th it was difficult to imagine such a good result, but I had a good first 3 corners, & was ready to gain some positions when I saw Viso's car in midair. When we restarted, I was very happy with how the car worked, & the pace was strong. Unfortunately the gearbox issue became more and more of a problem, & I struggled, losing one second per lap. The top 5 driver championship points are very now close!
Javier Villa (Racing Engineering) 7th: We had a good start and went straight to the pits as they deployed the safety car but I couldn't come back to the track as soon as the tyres were changed because both DAMS cars pitted at the same time and Nakajima was blocking me. At the beginning it was difficult to be fast but after a few laps I started to push and pass other cars to finish seventh. I really needed a couple more laps without traffic to run a bit faster. Tomorrow we are starting second and the key will be a good start and get in front at the first corner.
Mike Conway (Super Nova International) 9th: It's a shame I got spun around, as I could have had a top 4 finish…so obviously I'm a bit disappointed not to get more points. However the pace was good towards the end, & I was able to catch up and pass easily. The balance and tyres were consistent…I start with good guys around me tomorrow so I hope to be able to carve my way through amongst them.
