In an obvious attempt to stem the mischievous endeavours of an overenthusiastic media - or to put it another way shit-stirring - McLaren drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have made an agreement - that each will only talk about the other when both are present.
The move was revealed by Lewis Hamilton at a promotional event in London today - whilst, ironically, teammate Alonso was testing at Silverstone, almost a hundred miles away.
"We get on really well," said Hamilton, when asked if he could put the record straight regarding his relationship with his teammate and World Championship rival.
"Obviously him being Spanish, the media in Spain are trying to twist things and I think its the same with the British media, " he continued. "We are very, very supportive of each other. Obviously we are very competitive, we both want to win but we have a great deal of respect for each other.
"We've never had a fallout," he added. "Even after I won at the weekend, he came up afterwards and said congratulations. It's just at the moment we feel it's better if we speak about each other when we are both there because he can read something in the papers that someone might have twisted that I have said.
"I'd never make a negative comment about him because I've got a lot of respect for him and there's no need," said the Englishman.
