Andi Zuber (right) has shown just what his rivals can expect when racing resumes next weekend in Magny- Cours by dominating the 2007 mid-season test at Circuit Paul Ricard HTTT. The iSport International driver was untouchable for the duration of the test and finished all four morning and afternoon sessions at the top of the timesheets.
His team-mate Timo Glock was called away at the last minute to take part in F1 testing for BMW and only completed the first morning of his GP2 duties, but did enough to take second spot on the opening day. The man sitting second in the championship behind Timo, Luca Filippi, took second spot overall on Day two, and was the only driver other than Andi to dip into the 1:17s.
There was a different look to a few teams in the pitlane, with Ernesto Viso filling Antonio Pizzonia's seat at FMS International and Sergio Hernandez taking Sergio Jimenez's spot at Racing Engineering. Dutchman Henki Waldeschmidt made his GP2 Series debut for Dams, filling in for Kazuki Nakajima on Day one as the Japanese driver conducted F1 testing duties for Williams.
