NEWS STORY
We've said it before and we'll say it again... Renault is one of the few F1 teams to make a genuine effort to bring F1 closer to the fans.
We've already commented on the team's excellent Podcasts, whereby members of the team speak frankly, avoiding the anodyne PR bull that swamps the sport these days.
When we say bringing the sport closer to the fans this includes giving them the opportunity to ask the questions, rather then following the traditional route favoured by so many other teams and sponsors, whereby the questions are PR friendly avoiding any hint of controversy.
Pat Symonds, Giancarlo Fisichella, Heikki Kovalainen and even Flavio Briatore may find themselves being interrogated by fans eager to hear the inside story direct from the horse's mouth... no offence Flav.
This week fans have the opportunity to put their questions to Heikki Kovalainen, who, having suffered two days of misery in Montreal finally turned things around on race day, finishing fourth despite having started from the very back of the grid.
Now's your opportunity to question Heikki, to find out what he's all about, find out how he has enjoyed his F1 debut season.
Is he friends with Kimi? What's it like not seeing the sun for weeks on end in Finland during the winter? Is it tough bouncing back after a weekend like he had in Melbourne? And what is it with Chinese chicken?
If you want to get involved and get the low-down on Heikki from Heikki, simply drop the Renault Podcast team an e-mail at podcast@renaultf1.com - or record your question in an mp3 format, and send it in to the same email address!
All the questions will be fed into the mixer, put to Heikki over the Indianapolis weekend, and his answers will be made available to download as part of the team's post French Grand Prix Podcast on Monday 2 July.
