Bernie Ecclestone has revealed this year's French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours will be the last.
The French Motorsport Federation (FFSA) has already revealed that it is suspending the inscription of the French Grand Prix on the 2008 calendar pending an examination of the situation in July.
However, in an interview with L'Equipe, Ecclestone said that next month's race at Magny-Cours will be the last, admitting that Formula One should never have gone there in the first place - a case of never say Nevers again perhaps.
The Englishman has made no secret of the fact that he would dearly love to host the French Grand Prix at Disneyland Paris, citing the fact that the venue has the necessary infrastructure already in place, including hotels, and transport links.
Ecclestone also said that the number of races that comprise the F1 calendar must be increased to twenty by 2009, while admitting that he remains confident that Australia will host Formula One's first night race, followed by Malaysia and Singapore.
