Since his arrival in F1, some of the British press coverage of Lewis Hamilton has been worrying, to say the least.
Journalists used to writing about tyre compounds, downforce and fuel strategy, are so mesmerised by the young Briton that their coverage has suffered as they concentrate on his "megawatt smile that resonates innocence" and the fact that he's "young, good looking, and black".
As the coverage of Hamilton becomes ever more 'flowery', it comes as no surprise to hear that several members of the British media were involved in a stampede in Monaco last night, though thankfully - according to our sources - nobody was injured.
It appears that as the British crew sat at their laptops, devising ever more gushing tributes to the youngster, word went up in the media centre that Lewis was at the end of the paddock showing off his diamond encrusted helmet.
