It's understood that an announcement regarding the possibility of a Singapore Grand Prix will be made today.
In a statement, the Singapore government revealed that a formal announcement will be made this morning (Friday).
The has been talk of a race in Singapore for some time, with speculation that the event would be the first ever night race in the history of the world Championship.
However, a lack of news in recent weeks, an already crowded calendar and the Valencia announcement has led to speculation that the Singapore will be put on Formula One's back burner, at least for the time being.
