'Early birds' at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix can look forward to a special treat, a free breakfast, a T-Shirt and a special showing of the Walt Disney movie Cars.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Circuit will offer a free breakfast - consisting of fruit juice and a piece of a pastry - to the first 30,000 first spectators, as well as a souvenir T-Shirt. The promotion will last until stocks run out, which should be round about 9 am.
Furthermore, 26 giant screens around the circuit will show the 2006 Formula One season review - with Bernie no doubt checking to ensure that nobody is filming the broadcast on their phone or video cameras - followed by the Walt Disney animated film, Cars.
The breakfasts, T-Shirts and movie, are part of an initiative achieved thanks to an agreement between the Circuit de Catalunya and Formula One Management.
The aim of the promotion is to encourage race fans to arrive early, thereby achieving easy access at all entrances to the circuit. In 2006, early risers were treated to the MotoGP race from China, ensuring that 60,000 fans arrived early.
This year's Spanish Grand Prix is a total sell-out... in the nice sense.
