Two races to go before end of the 2007 season for A1GP GP France. The team has scored 57 points in the championship. Jean-Karl Vernay who made his debuts in Mexico on Sunday, March 25 will again be at the wheel on Sunday.
Jean-Karl Vernay (right) says: "I am really eager to drive again for A1GP Team France. I have good memories from Mexico despite my difficult debuts. I do not know the Shanghai track. But my goal is to do better than in Mexico: I have been thinking of my good results qualifying fifth and the problems I encountered later in the races in Mexico and hope to have learnt quickly the lessons to be starting the race on a good foot in China. The team has data from last year's 2006 race. My ambition is to be ready for a good race."
Eric Boullier, General Manager - A1 Team France added: " We are happy to come back to a track where we have good souvenir. A1GP Team France was already champions last year when we arrived. Then Prémat secured third place on the grid in qualifying, and finished seventh due to braking problems. Then Nicolas Lapierre finished sixth place. This gives us serious data to work well from. The Mexican race was promising with Jean-Karl Vernay. He had good speed and adapted well. This fast learning curve will help us get points so that we can progress in the Championship.
