Officials at the Nurburgring, which will host this year's German Grand Prix, have revealed that a corner is to be named in honour of seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher.
"It was imperative we did something prestigious to honour him," said Walter Kaffitz, director of the race track, according to the BBC. "Schumacher is the greatest driver in the history of German motorsport."
The corner formerly known as the 'Audi S' will now be known as the 'Schumacher S' and the former Benetton and Ferrari star will have the honour of being the first driver to drive it when he does a lap of honour before this year's German Grand Prix on July 22.
"I am very proud of this honour which they have given me," he said.
