Anthony Davidson is aiming to be back in the Super Aguri for next week's test at Sepang.
The English driver will undergo an assessment later this week after injuring his back in an accident involving Adrian Sutil in Sunday's season opener in Melbourne.
Although suffering pain, Davidson soldiered on bringing the Super Aguri home in sixteenth.
"Pending an assessment this weekend, he will attend the test in Sepang next week," said a team spokesperson. "Anthony sustained only a minor upper torso muscular injury."
In the Saturday morning free practice session Davidson finished fourth on the timesheets, and but for the incident early in the Grand Prix would have probably finished ahead of at least one Honda, much like teammate Takuma Sato.
