Sterling work by the Renault team ensured that Heikki Kovalainen was back on track for this afternoon's session at Sakhir, just 24 hours after the high speed crash at Turn 17 which badly damaged his R27 and compromised the French team's test programme.
The Finn subsequently admitted responsibility for the crash revealing that he got "caught out".
The Renault crew worked over night and throughout the morning, allowing the Finn to go out for an installation lap at 13.28 (local time), straight after lunch.
