While most of the teams will begin the first of two three day tests at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain later this week, Williams and Spyker are in action at Valencia today as their penultimate pre-season test gets underway.
Although the FW29 has shown good pace since its launch, there have been a number of minor issues which the team will want to sort out before Melbourne, particularly in view of the Grove outfit's appalling reliability record in 2006.
The Valencia test is important for Spyker also, as the F8-VII begins its second test since its launch. Speaking in Barcelona last week, Mike Gascoyne admitted that there were "problems", however, the Dutch team appeared to have make good progress by the end of the three-day test.
While the Valencia test begins today, testing at Bahrain gets underway on Thursday.
