Despite spinning off into the safety barriers on a damp track, and having much of this week's test at Vallelunga compromised by bad weather, Felipe Massa is confident that things are progressing well.
"For me we are already a step ahead compared to last year's car," the Brazilian told the ANSA new agency, "especially in terms of stability."
Although the Italian team was able to repair the car, the Scuderia's 2007 contender, the F2007, Massa was later sidelined by an unspecified technical problem, having completed just nine laps on the final day of testing at the Rome track.
The Maranello outfit returns to action next week at Valencia, where, ironically, McLaren failed packed up early yesterday (Friday) as a result of numerous heavy rain showers.
