Super Aguri delays launch

Super Aguri has delayed the launch of its 2007 contender having failed to pass the mandatory crash test.

As previously reported, the new car, the SA07, is being manufactured in collaboration with Honda's Research and Development in Tochigi.

Last week, running an interim car, Anthony Davidson topped the timesheets at Jerez out-pacing the Renaults, a situation, which should it continue, would almost certainly lead to protests as it is widely felt that the Japanese team, like Toro Rosso, is making use of loophole in the rules.

The Leafield based outfit had hoped to have the SA07 in action at Bahrain next month, but this is now highly unlikely, with the car expected to make its debut later in the month.
