Team Switzerland heads to Taupo, New Zealand with renewed energy, aiming to close the gap to the other teams. In Indonesia, despite the torrential weather conditions, Team A1 Switzerland kept their cool and the driver brought the car home in the points.
Sebastien Buemi (right) will return race driver at Taupo, New Zealand as Neel Jani is testing in Champ cars series for the PKV Racing Team. The team's rookie will be Marcel Fässler.
Sebastien Buemi: "It's my first time in New Zealand. I'll arrive at Taupo straight from Europe and Austria where I have spent the week with my physio Helmut to work on breathing, and resistance training to develop my neck muscles which will be important as this track goes anti-clockwise. I hope to have plenty of time to adjust to the time difference. I'm very focused and I'm hoping to be on the podium. Until now I have only seen the track on a paper. It is difficult to have an idea from artist's impression. I have friends who live around here and they have told me that everything is new and state of the art."
Max Welti, team principal, A1 Team Switzerland: "The 3.5km circuit this weekend is completely new for everyone. We're confident heading into this weekend of another strong result for the team despite Neel Janis' absence while he tests in Champ Car."
