The penultimate test of 2006 gets underway at Jerez tomorrow (Wednesday), when 10 teams will take to the track.
The only team not attending the Spanish test is Spyker, which will not be back in action until the New Year.
Tomorrow, 17 drivers are expected to be in action, with Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer representing Ferrari (all 3 days), Christian Klien and James Rossiter (Honda), Lewis Hamilton and Pedro de la Rosa (McLaren, all 3 days), Mark Webber and Michael Ammermuller (Red Bull), Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen (Renault, all 3 days), Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel (BMW), Anthony Davidson (Super Aguri, all 3 days), Tonio Liuzzi (Toro Rosso), Ralf Schumacher and Kohei Hirate (Toyota), and Nico Rosberg (WilliamsF1).
The teams last tested at Jerez at the beginning of October, the final test of the 2006 season. Michael Schumacher posted the fastest time (1:15.684), the fastest time of the year at the Spanish track.
After this week's programme the teams return to Jerez next Tuesday for the final test of the year.
