Honda has confirmed that Jenson Button will miss this week's test at Jerez, as he continues to recover from an injury incurred in a recent karting event that formed part of his winter training programme.
The Englishman sat out last week's test at Barcelona, the first of three tests that bring 2006 to a close, and with him missing this week's test there is every likelihood that he might not be back in action again until the New Year.
The Japanese team has said that it will assess the situation next weekend, as the Hungarian Grand Prix winner recovers from two hairline cracks.
Rubens Barrichello, who took part in a 500 mile kart event in Brazil at the weekend, will take part in this week's test, alongside Christian Klien and James Rossiter.
