iSport International have topped the final test of the 2006 GP2 series season, locking out the top positions on both days of the session at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. While it was Timo Glock, fresh from F1 testing duties, who set the pace on Day 1, it was his newly confirmed 2007 team-mate Andreas Zuber who took the top spot on Day 2, setting the fastest overall time of the test in the process.
Testing was again a closely run affair with the top 22 drivers covered by a second on the first day, and the top 24 drivers covered by the same gap on the second day. With this session acting as the final chance to impress before the Christmas break, the GP2 series team bosses will have a lot to think about going into the festive season, with the sheer weight of notable performances making their decisions over their 2007 line-ups particularly difficult.
And with iSport International's current run of form and confirmed 2007 driver pairing sitting at the top of the times, the British team has truly laid down the gauntlet to their rivals.
Bring on the New Year. It can't come soon enough.
